Accessing the internet wirelessly

February 25th, 2009 . by admin

Until there was wireless access in schools, businesses, and homes there was need of hundreds of feet of cable and wiring in walls or ceilings to make the internet available in your office, classrooms, etc.

Since the invention of the wireless internet access and connectivity, the world has began to seem smaller for students and workers who seek access to information on the internet.

The concept of wireless makes for some special requirements relating to security.  The wireless network needs to have extra security in place to keep users safe from harm.  The use of firewalls aids in keeping the network inaccessible.

Encryption has proven effective in guarding the wireless network from predators and hackers.  Also, use of longer passwords, or even phrases can keep it secure so legitimate users do not worry about their business or homework.
