Content is What Makes a Good .edu link

They have a high number to their link weight to pass on to other sites. Supposedly no bonus points are given for those linked to .edu sites. However, it has been proven over and over that if you have an .edu link, your site will be ranked higher than your competitors without it. This is because there are way less .edu sites out there to choose from than .com sites and most likely, your competitor that is linked to a .com site isn’t linked to one that has content that matches the importance of the content on your .edu site.
