The New Hydraulic Press Brakes
March 30th, 2008 . by adminMy uncle owned a metal fabrication shop for over 40 years. While I was growing up, my parents used to take me by his shop for visits. It always smelled of grease and cigars. I can still remember the day he bought his first set of hydraulic press breaks. Back in the 1970’s when they first came out, my uncle went to a store in town to look over what he termed to be “those new fangled contraptions.” Well, soon enough the salesman had his first customer. And boy did those babies work great! Unfortunately, when two of the machines started acting up a few years later, he learned very quickly what the salesman did not sell: valves.
