There are several other new propulsion systems besides the piston engine or fuel cells (which I will get back to) which are worthy of mention, gas turbines and sterling engines and I will say a word about battery electric. Automotive gas turbines have had a disadvantage because with the earlier turbine temperatures limits their propulsion and energy efficiency falls off rapidly with reducing power. I recently purchased a VW Polo from our Volkswagen dealer near Bristol. I am really pleased with the Polo but I was also delighted with the service a received at the Volkswagen dealer. I think Volkswagen have really got it together when it comes to customer service. I suppose that this is an absolute must for them though as it is possible to buy very similar specification cars for less money and you are paying a little extra for the VW service and the badge on the front of the car. I would certainly recommend a visit to you local VW dealer even if its just for the experience.  

If you are interested in shipping automobiles, then you are not the only one.  There are many people who are now turning their attention to auto transport when it comes to figuring out how they’re going to get their vehicles from point ‘a’ to point ‘b’.  If you think about it, how much money would you realistically spend in gas driving your car from Main to Florida?  Probably a lot.  Now, compare this to purchasing a plane ticket.  Which one is going to save you more time, energy AND money?  Also, don’t forget to factor in the possibility of bad weather, possible accidents, mechanical problems with your vehicle, heavy traffic and stopping occasionally to get food and use the bathroom, etc.  When all is said and done, is it really worth it to make the drive or just buy the plane ticket.  Why put all of that extra wear-and-tear on your vehicle if you don’t have to?
