Looking For New & Used Autos? You might not be able to find a Volvo

December 9th, 2008 . by admin

Ford is trying to show that they are taking action to reshape their operations. Recently Ford said it may sell its Volvo unit, the company’s sole remaining European brand, a day before the second-largest US automaker is scheduled to present a survival plan to US federal lawmakers.

“All of these businesses are being forced to reveal their hand,” said Maryann Keller, an independent auto analyst and consultant in Greenwich, Connecticut, in an interview. “Ford can put Volvo up for sale, but there aren’t going to be any buyers. It may come down to the Swedish government taking it.”

So if you were thinking of getting a Volvo, whether they are new or used autos, you better start thinking about looking for one now!

The Government Auction Vehicles Debacle

November 5th, 2008 . by admin

It was a debacle on the governments end, not on mine. I was able to walk away with a brand new car for half of what they were asking for at the dealership. No, I did not steal it. I got this great car from a Government Auction Vehicles event where the government sold off their old cars (two to three years old) so they could upgrade their line. With supple and demand mixed into the puzzle, it meant I could pick and choose whatever car I wanted for a massive discount. The only difficult part of this trip was trying to find where these Government Auction Vehicles events are being held.

A car that runs on water

November 5th, 2008 . by admin

Can you imagine what you could do with $8,000? Would you go take your dream vacation or go back to school? Well, $8,000 is how much the Department of Energy says the average American spends on gasoline. What if you could run a car on water? You would not only be saving money, you would be reducing all of the heavy metals pollution caused by gasoline. It turns out that water, which may seem like just a drink to you and me, is actually a potent fuel source. You may have heard of Water 4 Gas, which is a system that takes advantage of the energy stored in the hydrogen-oxygen bonds in water. Check it out. Just remember: Water 4 Gas = 2 Smart 2 Pass Up.

Manufacturers for left hand drive car dealers UK

October 29th, 2008 . by admin

A lot of the left hand drive car dealers UK are backed by some of the major car companies in the world. Companies like, Ford, Audi, Land Rover to name a few are popular with providing left hand drive cars in the UK. They are new cars that come right from them and not some imported cars that come from other countries and were probably at one time rental cars, which usually get used and abused to death by those that rent them. Getting a left hand drive car from one of these major car companies in Europe is a good idea.

New Technology In Scooters

October 24th, 2008 . by admin

I am just amazed at technology, and what it can do.  I find that everything that I use is being improved with technology.  I have off road scooters.  I love them.  My husband and I love to ride our scooters.

We have found that the newer scooters have been improved so much with technology.  We cannot wait to see what they will come up with next.  I know that I cannot wait until we get a scooter.  I know that it will be so much better than the ones that we have now.

We are saving up some money so that we can purchase new scooters.  We know that they are going to be fun to drive around in.  I am getting excited about purchasing a new one.

Suzuki OEM

October 22nd, 2008 . by admin

I have never really understood what OEM stands for but I do know from my previous employment what it means and it is essentially when one companies takes another companies products and rebrands it and sells it as their own. It seems that Suzuki seem to do very well out of the OEM market with a number of their cars being branded up under other car makers names and sold with a lot of success. One of these cars is the extremely popular Vauxhall (Opel in Europe) Agila a small fuel efficient city car.  I am willing to bet that Suzuki makes as much money from OEM as it does selling its own cars.

A guide to electric cars

October 21st, 2008 . by admin

The electric car conversion looks and works like the regular car except some few things. Instead of been powered by gasoline, it is rather put in motion by a motor. The motor is powered by the set of batteries that the car comes with. The electric car also has other differences.

An ordinary car uses one battery but the electric car uses a set of about 10 batteries. It is so because you need a bigger current to make the work properly to move the car. In the electric car, the battery both powers the motor tat send the car forward ad also the electric accessories like wipers.

Car Preferences

October 18th, 2008 . by admin

When my husband and I got married we made sure to work out some of the major disagreements in counseling. We had the same goals in regard to finances, children and religion. With that being said we did not take into account the difference in vehicle preferences. He is from a family that grew up around American made models and my family always like foreign jobs. Now that we are looking for a vehicle for the family we are in disagreement but I found a 2008 Toyota Sequoia review that I hope will sway his thinking and finally get me the car that I want.

Can A Used Auto Run On Fumes

October 18th, 2008 . by admin

Drivers often joke their used auto “is running on fumes,” when the tank gets low. Well, how about an engine that actually gets its energy from gasoline fumes? Or, tired of looking for parking space? Well, someone has dreamed up an all-electric car so thin it can compete with motorcycles for the gaps between SUVs. And no need to fill up on expensive gasoline anymore - one would-be Henry Ford wants to build an engine that runs on compressed air, the stuff that fills your tires. Naturally, it’s called the Air Car. All of these ideas - some with actual tires on the ground - are entered for the Progressive Automotive X Prize, an international competition that will award $10 million to the first team that can build and bring to market a car that gets the equivalent of 100 miles per gallon. So far, no major auto company has said it’ll compete, although some have said they are curious and might kick a few tires when no one is looking.
