If you are concerned with how you look, then join the club. Dancers, above anyone else need to be concerned with how they look because it is a part of the total package that people pay money to see. No one wants to go to a ballet and see the dancers wearing shorts and tank tops. Dancers wear dance recital costumes that accentuate their features. This is done to give the dancers as well as the dance more validity. What most people fail to realize, however, is how incredibly difficult it can be sometimes to find outfits. Dancers often have to hire someone to make their outfits, which can sometimes be costly depending on the amount and kinds of material that are needed. Some dancers will go to great lengths, shopping outside of their industry to find the perfect outfit.

When you read tarot cards you may find that you start to develop a more acute sense of awareness of parts of your thinking and awareness that you never really paid attention to. The answers the tarot cards can bring you are not inherent in the cards but in your mind and thoughts. The cards are simply pictures that depict the amazing hierarchies of life and through the familiar scenes that depict things we all experience all the time we can more easily generate our answers because we see the big picture so to speak. The deck can be laid out to show you the entire circle of life!

Buy a cheap notebook (I recommend moleskine) and jot down any new vocabulary or phrases that you hear. For each entry, write down the new language, its meaning, and one or two examples of its usage. My daughter who wrorks part time at a post production house here in the area is going to a high school dance tonight with one of her best friends that happens to also be a young lady like herself. This is perfectly fine with me and I find nothing wrong with this scenario other than wondering why she does not have a real date to the dance. I carefully have the question and it seems that boys anf girls no longer plan on going to dances together on a routine basis. Rather, everyone meets at the dance and then dances with whomever they chose. A much better system if you ask me.

I was in the middle of showing a group of friends one of my new killer effects in card magic when this dog decided that it rather preferred that it be the center of attention. The dog started pushing everyones legs and barking quitely until one person took the time to notice what the dog was trying to do. At this point it was all over and the dog knew if it had one person’s attention then it could have everyone’s attention and started to bark loudly and really move between everyone’s legs. There was no calming this pup down and finally I had to set the cardtrick aside and just let the dog have it’s moment. I even jumped into the fray as now the dogs other pal had showed up and everything had turned into a giant wrestling match for the sole dog toy on the floor. What a day.

Pastels are usually painted on a vertical surface, ideally slanted slightly forward so that dust falls off the painting. Pastels are pure pigments ground into a paste using small amounts of gum binder. Pastel is a medium of unsuspected range and diversity. Pastel paintings hang in art galleries around the world. Pastel artist paintings should undergo archival framing and be put under glass to protect the artwork. Pastel requires a surface with some “tooth” for the pigment to stick to. Pastels from the major manufacturers are available in single sticks arranged in bins at stores as well as pre-packaged into sets.

Well, I don’t find much more relaxing in life than taking an hour or two on the weekends and practicing on my Alexandria Doumbek. There is just something about letting the mind go and letting my hands do all of the thinking that allows my to relax in a deeper way than if I just vegged out on the couch or something similar. Anytime the drum becomes an extension of yourself, I believe that you can allow the deeper parts of yourself to come more to the surface. Maybe it is just something primal, or maybe I’m just silly, but it’s fun none the less!
