What Will You Top Your Wedding Cake With?

February 18th, 2009 . by admin

Think about it.  You spend hundreds, maybe thousands of dollars on the cake for your wedding day and what do you top it with?  Please tell me it’s not a set of those plastic bride and groom figurines!

Go with something you’ll be proud to look at in your wedding pictures 20 years from now.  Go with something that is unique and more personal than plastic dolls.  I recently found several very attractive and certainly unique wedding cake toppers over at Eye Candy Gift.  Some of these were clear acrylic in all sorts of shapes that had the bridal couple’s monogram - very cool I thought.  Also there were jeweled letters to create a monogram as an alternative to one topper.  These could work with or without flowers around them and go with many styles of cake design.  So please - no plastic dolls - get creative.  You’ll be happy you did.

Getting the New Tattoos

February 9th, 2009 . by admin

The Chopper-Tattoo is just another in a long line of tattos that are on the market. There are also many new ones like the chopper-tattoo that are on the list of the top tattoo designs. Many people love these tattos and they are highly sought after. We might want to think about these decision before we make them for they are permanent, which is why I have never gotten one. I do now believe that anyone who gets a chopper-tattoo will be unhappy with it. It is not unlike the tatto world to keep coming up with things every day.

Edwardian London battling the spooks

February 8th, 2009 . by admin

I wonder just how obsessed Edwardian London really was about the paranormal. If books, stories and movies are to be believed, they simply could not go a week without connecting to the dead via mediums and spiritualists.

Amongst all the genuine practitioners, there were, of course, charlatans. Then there were those who promoted a belief in their activities, against those who wished merely to debunk anything paranormal. It was certainly a fascinating period, with a jumble of ideas all struggling for credibility over the others.

There are some stories around covering the period and these kinds of events, some are available as audio download books, read by the author or a voice actor, and are very entertaining, if not entirely historically accurate in every detail.

Common or uncommon

January 28th, 2009 . by admin

Are there certain places that it don’t hurt as bad to get a tattoo? My tattoo on my arm definitely stung. Some say there are certain spots that hurt more then others. Some Rockstars are starting to get them on the face I can’t even conceptualize how much thats gotta sting. Lil’ Wayne has tattoos on his eye lids, thats really ridiculous it looks as if tattoos are starting to become more and more common. A lot of the A-listers are getting more tattoos,I would say that probably has a lot to do with the reason more people are getting them. What do you guys think? I’m curious to see if anybody else is seeing more tattoos too.

Just around the corner for popular ringtones

January 21st, 2009 . by admin

It literally takes no more than typing in popular ringtones to be inundated with sites that want you to get the latest and greatest songs for your cell phone. I even saw some of the new popular ringtones being sold on MTV the other day by just sending a text message to some company. The little disclaimer that you see for about three seconds on the bottom of the page tells you that by sending that text message you are agreeing to sign up for a ringtone monthly subscription that I guarantee you is atleast ten dollars a month added to your cell bill.

Ways to Remove the Tattoos

December 30th, 2008 . by admin

There are multiple of ways to remove the tattoos. You will never put yourself in a position when you desire for the tattoo remova risks. It is better to consider your tattoo permanent on the body. Removal is not a very economical option but if you have done such mistake and you would like to get it removed then ask your doctor or dermatologist. The laser removal is the good way of removing the tattoos without much scaring. A laser removes the tattoo from the body by pulsing specific wavelength of light onto the area of tattoos. The flashing of light is done so quickly that it breaks up these filled pigments, which are flushed out completely from your body.

African Instruments: Embodying Pure Music

December 29th, 2008 . by admin

Africa is not completely closed to the rest of whole world.  If you say otherwise, then perhaps you are dumb or bigot.  The Africans play basketball too.  Some African cities have Coke and McDonalds as well.  We are also enjoying some exports and treasures from Africa without knowing it. For true music lovers, Africa is a true oasis.  Africa is a place of homage to music with less fuss – almost pristine and pure musicality.  African instruments embody the rich culture and history of people in this continent.  Some instruments like kalimba and djun djun are stories themselves of the people’s perseverance.

Faith Hill & Fairy Tales

December 25th, 2008 . by admin

I’ve always had a soft place in my heart for fairy tales, so my ears perked up at these country music lyrics in Faith Hill’s “This Kiss”: “Cinderella said to Snow White, ‘How does love get so off course? Oh, all I wanted was a white knight, with a good heart, soft touch, fast horse.’” These lyrics communicate the woes of many a modern day woman who still wishes that life were like a fairy tale even though she’s smart enough to know it isn’t. This wish doesn’t weaken her character, however, as she is also smart enough to be thankful for all the blessings she has in spite of all of life’s imperfections.

Designing A Room My Son Will Love

December 24th, 2008 . by admin

My son loves construction vehicles, so I am trying to design him a room that takes this into account. I want him to really love his room. Right now we have just moved into a new house so the walls are plain. I want to find some kids wall art I can hang up in his room that isn’t too childish so I don’t have to redecorate anytime soon. I want something he will like even as he gets a bit older. Can anyone recommend a good place for me to get this kind of artwork? I would really appreciate it.
